It’s that time of year again, when we spend more time outdoors, enjoying our backyards, barbecues and pools, languishing in the warmer weather for as long as we can each day.

With that in mind, here at Ferrari Pools, we are gearing up for pool-opening season. Below, we have included the latest pool opening information, and we’ve included a pool opening service request form and a residential pool cleaning agreement form. They can be downloaded, printed, filled in and mailed to us. Get the opening date you want by acting TODAY!

Pool Opening Information

Full Opening – This service includes removal and folding of safety cover, lowering cover anchors, reassembly of filter equipment, reinstallation of wall fittings, handrails and ladders, start up and operational check.
 
Partial Opening – Includes the same service above with no cover removal. Cover must be removed prior to our arrival.
 
*Opening prices do not include repairs, chemicals or vacuuming.

Additional Services Available

Balancing Chemicals – Balancing chemicals are necessary to sanitize your pool water and to properly adjust your basic water chemistry. We offer an Opening Package with recommended initial balancing chemicals which includes 25 lbs alkalinity, 25lbs calcium, 12 lbs chlorine shock, 2lbs algae treatment, 1 qt algaecide. Pools with over 25,000 gallons will require two packages. Salt water pools will need to add salt in addition to balancing chemicals. Please note Ferrari Full Circle Pool Service does not guarantee that the Opening Chemical Package alone will completely clear or balance your pool water. If your pool water does not clear within a couple days, your filter will most likely need be cleaned and more chlorine shock will need to be obtained and added.

Season Chemicals – Chemicals can be delivered at your opening. Please select chemicals you want delivered on Opening form.

Spring CleaningLeaf Removal Cleaning service is available on a first come first served basis. Please notify us when you water has cleared cleanings are typically done within a few days after notification. Cleaning is charged at $145.00 per hour for each hour. This service is scheduled and invoiced separately from pool opening. Although, we will try our best, we do not guarantee your pool will be 100% clean with only one hour of service. It may take more time and chemicals depending on severity. Availability may be limited in May.

Service Repairs – Repairs are not part of pool openings. Hourly Rate for repairs that can be performed during the time of your opening is $95.00 per hour. If repairs cannot be performed for any reason during your opening a return trip will be required. Return trips will be charged the standard rate of $145.00 for the first hour then $95.00 each hour after.

Cleaning Service – We offer weekly and biweekly vacuum, monthly filter service in select service areas. If you would like to contract with us for cleaning services you will need to complete the Residential Cleaning Service Agreement.

 

Please read the following instructions to be sure your opening proceeds smoothly

Solid winter covers – Solid covers must be free of water and debris prior to our arrival. An additional fee of $160.00 plus any time needed to clear cover will be charged in addition to the cost of a full opening. Ferrari Full Circle Pool Service will not be responsible for washing covers or the cleaning of any debris or leaves that may fall into the pool while removing cover.

Water Level – Pool water needs to be filled up to the middle of the skimmer prior to our arrival.

Access – We prefer that you be home but it is not required. If you will not be home please make sure of the following:

  • Gate is left unlocked or entry instructions are given. (We will not jump fences).
  • Power and water are turned on to the pool area.
  • All supplies skimmer baskets, fittings, filter cartridges are accessible.

Pets – For their safety & ours, please confine all pets prior to our arrival.

If we cannot open your pool due to low water level or supplies inaccessible you will be rescheduled and a return trip will be charged.

Scheduling – We preschedule openings and closings based on previous year service dates. For new pool owners we have given anpreferred opening date. If our prescheduled date is not agreeable please let us know and we will reschedule to a more suitable date. Wewill not open your pool unless we have received confirmation and payment in advance. We do not give scheduled times of arrival.Openings are performed Mon-Fri anytime from 7 am until 5 pm. In case of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances and we need toreschedule you will be notified as soon as possible. All openings are typically completed in the same week they are scheduled.

After the Opening

You should begin your cleaning and chemical maintenance. Chemical levels should be checked weekly for proper pH, alkalinity, and calcium and adjusted when needed. Improperly balanced water can be corrosive and can damage pool components. Salt Generators should be monitored for adequate salt level and controls checked for any maintenance codes. Filter pressure will need to checked frequently after opening. Most filters will need to be cleaned or backwashed within a week after opening. Pollen and sediment are the #1 reason for high filter pressure and cloudy pools in the spring requiring frequent filter cleaning.
